Outreach

Outreach is an important aspect of the work at St Mary's Music School and we aim to encourage inclusion, extending specialist music opportunities to pupils from other schools as appropriate. Our long established Saturday Morning Classes, attended by over 200 local children, are an important part of our community activities. Our Summer Courses are also well established and we have a long history of welcoming pupils from other schools to participate in our core activities such as chamber music, orchestras and workshops. Our Pathways to Specialism scheme enables post-Higher pupils from other schools who are intending to apply for music courses in higher education the opportunity to attend classes, e.g. A-Level music, at St Mary's Music School, either while still at school or during a gap year..
